Paolo Nutini

Royal Albert Hall, London

Paolo knows how to have fun as he contorts about the stage, whilst the Albert Hall’s sprung floor gave you no option but to bounce along.

True a “ladies” man, must be the unkempt look, but more than that a talent who is not afraid to follow his own musical instincts. True many of the songs are knockabout but we always find his music uplifting and he did not disappoint – pure enjoyment – as we left the Albert Hall with a big smile.

What a brilliant venue for him, the sound was great, the extra horns and string section of his band sounded brilliant and everyone; band, audience and Paolo, having a great time, so much so they squeezed in an extra encore song.

For me the songs of the night were Coming Up Easy and Pencil Full of Lead, and Fiona's was 10/10 :)
